Undergraduates
Our paid internship program will prepare you for leadership positions both on and off the jobsite. Our program will place you on a project(s) in Northern California in a position that will allow you to gain hands-on experience in project engineering and field management. You will obtain both field and office exposure on a variety of challenging and complex construction projects. We carefully match you with positions related to your academic status, career goals and commuting logistics, providing you with a broad range of construction experience that will help you determine the right career path after graduation. Many of our most valued employees started with the company as interns.

“In my internship with DeSilva Gates Construction I was assigned to the Oakland Airport Runway 12-30 Reconstruction Project. I was put in charge of coordinating the badging of DeSilva Gates’ workers who would be working within the airport security area. Along with this very important duty, I also prepared RFI’s, submittals and attended weekly coordination meetings.
